Hey y’all, welcome to this week’s edition of Weekend Reflections, where I talk about what went down at work, the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
High:
I had my yearly evaluation this week, and it went pretty much as expected. I was chatting with some coworkers beforehand, and it was funny seeing the different reactions—some were super nervous, some totally unfazed, and others didn’t seem to care at all. Personally, I went into it knowing where I stood, so there were no surprises. Overall, it was positive; I got the raise I was hoping for and some solid feedback.
Lows:
One of my colleagues took some personal time off this weekend, which meant we had to cover her workload. I totally get needing time off, but it did mean a lot of readjusting on our end. We had to prioritize heavily to make sure the patients who needed to be seen were actually seen.
