Welcome back to my weekend reflections, where I dive into the highs and lows of my workweek!
High: I had my yearly what we expect from you this year meeting with my manager. It went well—I personally like these meetings because they lay out exactly what’s expected of me and what I need to focus on. Last year, the priority was completing as many assessments as possible over the weekend, but now the focus has shifted to discharge.
Low: It was my first weekend back from vacation, and the adjustment was rough. I was sleep-deprived and running on coffee. I loved having ten days off, but that first day back is always brutal. That said, I actually felt excited to return—I enjoy my job. I just need those breaks to avoid burnout, which, thankfully, I’m not at that point yet.
