Texas Suicide Prevention symposium 2024 recap

Posted on September 25, 2024February 14, 2025 by gabby

I recently had the privilege of attending the annual Texas Suicide Prevention Conference in Mesquite, Texas! It was an incredible experience being surrounded by some of the most intelligent, courageous, and compassionate individuals, all dedicated to saving lives.

As someone who frequently works with patients who have attempted suicide, I was eager to learn more about the resources available in our state and how I could enhance my own practice. The conference covered everything from innovative intervention strategies to mental health advocacy and left me feeling both inspired and hopeful for the future of suicide prevention.

One of the standout aspects of the conference was a live artist who captured the essence of each session in visual form. These illustrations were powerful reminders of the work we do and the lives we’re striving to impact. I’ve shared some of these posters below, and I encourage you to take a moment to reflect on the messages they carry.
