Diary #2

Posted on August 28, 2024February 14, 2025 by gabby

I absolutely love reading Carly’s blog- carlyriordan.com, especially her diary posts that she shares every two weeks. They offer a raw, unfiltered look into her everyday life, which I find so refreshing compared to the polished, curated content we often see. Inspired by Carly’s authentic approach, I thought I’d give you a peek into my own life.
Here’s a glimpse of my camera roll from the past two weeks:

Had a blast with my cousins at our sewing class! We all got together and made pajamas. It was such a fun way to bond and get creative together. Plus, there’s something extra special about wearing pajamas that you’ve sewn yourself.

Getting some admin work done—but seriously, are you even working if you don’t have two different beverages at your workspace? Lol. Whether it’s coffee for that caffeine kick or water to stay hydrated, I’m over here double-fisting like it’s a workday essential.

It was Raksha Bandhan (or Rakhri) this month, and I absolutely love celebrating this holiday! It’s such a special time to connect with family and a good reminder the importance of having a loving, respectful mutual brother-sister relationship.

And don’t worry, I did get my rakhri gift from him! But this year, I wanted to mix things up a bit. I decided to surprise him with something I knew he’d been wanting for a while. He’s on a tight college budget right now, so I thought it’d be a sweet way to show him I’ve got his back, just like he’s always had mine.

Ahhhh, y’all, this pistachio cake was SOO good! It’s from Nicki Nicko, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re ever in the mood for a treat, this cake is an absolute must-try.

Got my much-needed car washed. Peep that 104°F temperature here in Texas!

Ordered me some CAVA—literally my favorite fast food spot!
