Hello 2025

The last quarter of 2024 was something else—I’m not even sure if I have the right words, let alone the mental capacity, to recap it. And I’m not going to do that here because this blog isn’t my personal journal. I try to keep things positive, so I wanted to share my top three memories of 2024:

Hitting One Year at My Workplace: I’ve been through a lot professionally at a young age, so to be in a healthy work environment with a great boss, I’m beyond grateful for this opportunity.

Summer: All of summer was fun! I traveled quite a bit locally with friends and family. I love the summers in Texas and spending as much time outdoors as possible.

Traveling Internationally to England for my Niece’s Wedding: It was such a special trip. I loved being able to see my family and witness my niece get married to her childhood love.

I do set goals every year, both personally and professionally, and they usually revolve around the word I choose. This year, my word of the year is focus.

I have a few long-term projects underway, with results coming later this year and in 2027—yes, it’s crazy! If you are a social worker, you know exactly what project I am working on. One personal project I’ve been working on since September should be completed by the end of May, and I’m excited to share it with you. With the days blurring by, it’s easy to lose sight of bigger goals, but this year, I’m committed to focusing on what truly matters and letting go of anything that doesn’t fit my current season of life.

I’d love to hear your thoughts! What’s your word of the year, and how do you plan to stay focused on your goals in 2025?
